KUWAIT, Oct 20 (KUNA) -- Candidates contesting the upcoming parliamentary elections slated for November 26th continued to file their candidacies on Thursday, as some 132 candidates have registered to join the race.
The Fifth Constituency produced the lion's share of candidates with 19 people standing for elections, followed by the Fourth Constituency with 16 candidates and the First Constituency, 13.
Moreover, registration for this year's parliamentary elections has largely eclipsed the ones held in 2013 and 2012, records show.
According to Law 20/2012, a total of 10 candidates will be listed in each constituency. The electorate can only vote for one candidate per constituency. (end)
