Twenty three more airstrikes target IS in Syria, Iraq

WASHINGTON, Oct 1 (KUNA) -- The US-led coalition against the so-called Islamic State (IS) launched 23 airstrikes targeting the group in Syria and Iraq Friday, the Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) said in its daily report.
In Syria, 12 airstrikes hit IS facilities near Abu Kamal, Ar Raqqah, Dayr Az Zawr, Manbij, Mar'a, and Washiyah, the report showed.
Meanwhile in Iraq, 11 strikes hit IS facilities near Al Qaim, Hit, Mosul, Ramadi, and Sultan Abdallah, the report noted. (end) ak.hb
