17 strikes in Syria, 7 in Iraq target IS -- coalition

WASHINGTON, Sept 30 (KUNA) -- Coalition military forces conducted 24 strikes against the so-called Islamic State (IS) -- 17 in Syria and seven in Iraq, the Combined Joint Task Force announced on Friday.
In Syria, the strikes occurred near Abu Kamal, Ar Raqqah, Dayr Az Zawr, Manbij, Mar'a and Washiyah, the announcement said.
In Iraq, the strikes hit near Al Qaim, Bashir, Mosul, Ramadi and Tal Afar, the statement added. (end) rm.mg
