ALGIERS, Sept 27 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Acting Minister of Oil Anas Al-Saleh said the OPEC ministerial meeting, to be held here tomorrow Wednesday, provides a platform for representatives of major oil producers to explore ways for stabilizing the global market.
"The consultative meeting doesn't necessarily mean that we will take certain steps but it will be a chance to weigh the interests of producers against those of consumers through stable prices," Al-Saleh told reporters this evening.
He made the comments on the sidelines of the 15th International Energy Forum (IEF15).
Al-Saleh, leading a high-level delegation to the biannual ministerial, is scheduled to co-chair the meeting of the Kuwaiti-Algerian joint commission with Algerian Minister of Finance Hadji Baba Ammi on Thursday.
The meeting is expected to culminate in the signing of several bilateral deals on cooperation in various fields. (pickup previous)
