20 more airstrikes target IS in Syria, Iraq

WASHINGTON, Sep 24 (KUNA) -- The US-led coalition against the so-called Islamic State (IS) launched 20 airstrikes in Syria and Iraq on Friday, the Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) said in its daily report.
In Syria, 11 strikes near Ar Raqqah, Dayr Az Zawr, Manbij, and Mar'a destroyed two explosives' factories, four oil well heads, three pump jacks, three oil tanker trucks, two IS vehicles, a heavy machine gun, and three fighting positions, the report said.
In Iraq, nine strikes near Al Baghdadi, Kisik, Mosul, Qayyarah, Ramadi, and Sultan Abdallah destroyed an IS rocket cache, two fighting positions, two mortar systems, a tunnel, nine rocket rails, three rocket systems, and a chemical weapons' factory, according to the report. (end) ys.hb
