Kuwait's new Amb. to Sudan submits credentials

KHARTOUM, Sept 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's new Ambassador to Sudan Bassam Al-Qabandi submitted his credentials on Thursday to Khartoum's Foreign Ministry, succeeding Ambassador Talal Al-Hajeri.
In a statement to KUNA after presenting Sudanese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Kamal Ismail with a copy of his credentials, Al-Qabandi said that he "conveyed Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah's greetings to Sudan." Moreover, the Sudanese Minister hoped that ties between both nations will make further progress.
He also underscored Kuwait's support of the northeastern African nation as well as its humanitarian efforts. (end) hha.nam
