KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 3 (KUNA) -- Malaysia has reported its first case of locally-transmitted Zika infection after a 61-year old man was diagnosed with the mosquito-borne virus in eastern Sabah state, the Ministry of Health announced Saturday.
On Thursday, Malaysian Health Minister S. Subramaniam confirmed the first case of imported Zika in a 58-year old woman who visited neighboring Singapore, where Zika infections there has skyrocketed to 189 cases. (end)
