Saudi Security Forces ready for Hajj season

JEDDAH, Aug 31 (KUNA) -- Security forces in the holy city of Makkah and Madina are ready to protect pilgrims in the upcoming Hajj season, a security source said Wednesday.
In a press conference, Hajj Security Forces Commander Lieut-General Khaled Al-Harbi said that the government exerted extensive efforts with all security apparatuses to ensure safety and security for the pilgrimage and to ensure sucess of this Hajj season.
Al-Harbi added that Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Prince Mohammad bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz called by the end of last year season to form a number of committees to review the positives and negatives of all work conducted, including executing a number of developmental projects in the Holy City of Makkah and Madina.
The commander noted that a number of workshops along with various Hajj and pilgrimages entities to support the general plan in the centralized area of the Holy Mosque and the holy city of Makkah.
Al-Harbi said that the security plan started early this month in security centers at the holy city of Makkah. (end) nh.mb
