Number of foreign tourists visiting Turkey drops by 30.3 pct in Jan-July '16

ANKARA, Aug 31 (KUNA) -- The number of tourists visiting Turkey has plunged by 30.3 percent in the first seven months this year, the Ministry of Tourism said in a report published Wednesday.
The number of tourists visiting Turkey in the January-July period reached 14.2 million, the ministry added.
Tourism has been largely affected due to tension between Russia and Turkey following the downing of a Russian military jet last November, coupled with bomb attacks in different parts of the country and the failed coup attampt that took place last month. (end) rs.bs
