17 strikes on IS in Iraq and Syria - coalition

WASHINGTON, Aug 25 (KUNA) -- The US-led coalition conducted 17 airstrikes against so-called Islamic State (IS) in Syria and Iraq.
In Syria, coalition forces launched nine strikes near Abu Kamal, Al Shadaddi, Al Raqqah, Dayr Az Zawr, Manbij and Mar'a hitting and destroying separate tactical units, fighting positions according to the daily report from Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve Sunday.
In Iraq, eight strikes were launched near Al Baghdadi, Hit, Mosul, Sultan Abdallah and Ramadi that targeted tactical units, fighting positions, ammunition cache, vehicles and rocket systems that were under IS militant control, the statement concluded. (end) yt.rk
