Kuwait oil price down USD 1.04 to USD 43.61 pb

KUWAIT, Aug 24 (KUNA) -- The price of Kuwaiti oil went down Tuesday by USD 1.04 to USD 43.61 per barrel compared to USD 44.65 pb the day before, said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Wednesday.
At the world markets level, the price of oil went up by one percent due to news regarding Iran's willingness to support OPEC's efforts in reinforcing the market.
The price of the Brent mix went up by 80 cents to reach USD 49.96 per barrel while the price of the West Texas Intermediate went up by 69 cents to reach USD 48.10 pb. (end) osj.gta
