BRUSSELS, July 30 (KUNA) -- One of the two brothers arrested in southern Belgium on Friday, has been charged with attempted murder in the context of terrorism and participation in activities of a terrorist group.
Belgian media Saturday night named the person as Nourredine H. His brother Hamza was released after questioning.
The two brothers were arrested Friday night during a major police operation in the region around the towns of Mons and Liأ¨ge.
Nourredine H was known to the court for minor crimes, but he was for months followed by domestic and foreign security services because he traveled a lot in Europe and also because he had contacts outside Europe, said the reports.
The case has no connection with the attacks in Paris or Brussels, or the several recent terrorist attacks in France. (end)
