(KRCS) delivers fresh water to some 1,200 refugee families in Al-Bekaa, eastern Lebanon
BEIRUT, July 29 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) handed out Friday fresh water to some 1,200 refugee families in Al-Bekaa, eastern Lebanon.
The society's delegate to Lebanon Dr. Musaed Al-Enezi told KUNA that the water has been transferred from the treatment plant that was built by KRCS jointly with Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) early 2016. He stated that the plant provided around 40,000 liters of water per day.
Moreover, KRCS will continue offering all sorts of help and assistance needed to ease the suffering of the Syrian refugees.
Since the beginning of the Syrian conflict in 2011, KRCS had been aiding around one million Syrian refugee residing in different camps in Lebanon. (end) mah.mys
