Al-Ghanim lauds narcotics-busting operation

KUWAIT, July 23 (KUNA) -- Speaker of National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanim thanked Saturday a number of state bodies for their efforts in thwarting an attempt to smuggle a huge amount of narcotics into the country.
Al-Ghanim, in a press release, congratulated Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Sabah as well as Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister, and Acting Oil Minister Anas Al-Saleh for their efforts in the operation which earned the recognition from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah An attempt to bring 10 million Captagon pills worth KD 25 million into the country was foiled Friday.
