Unknown shooter kills Saudi security officer in eastern province

RIYADH, June 24 (KUNA) -- A Saudi security officer was shot dead by an unknown assailant in the town of Sehat in Saudi Arabia's eastern province, said the Ministry of Interior on Friday.
While on patrol duty in the town in the early hours of today, the driver of the patrol car, Officer Faisal Al-Harbi, came under fire from an unknown shooter, said a spokesperson for the ministry.
Investigations are underway to capture the assailant. (end) yms.ajs
