DUBAI, May 30 (KUNA) -- A team of Kuwaiti physicians from Kuwait Cancer Control Center's (KCCC) nuclear medical department has tested a nuclear photographic machine in Dubai hospital.
In statements to KUNA on Monday, head of the nuclear medical department at KCCC Dr. Farida Al-Kandari said that a team from the center has tested a nuclear photographic machine in the United Arab Emirates, part of medical exchanges amongst Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations.
Moreover, Al-Kandari noted that such tests are crucial to ensure the machine's efficiency in detecting cancerous tumor, which would be instrumental to the treatment process.
Meanwhile, head of the nuclear physics department at KCCC Dr. Mishary Al-Naimi said that Kuwaiti physicians were at Dubai hospital to ensure that all nuclear equipment are on par and fully functioning, which he added was indicative of confidence in Kuwaiti medical competence.
"The number of nuclear specialists in the GCC is scarce," Al-Naimi said, adding that Kuwaiti physicians are willing to assist GCC nations with all their medical needs.
He also touted KCCC as a technological hub, complete with an adept and professional staff. (end) smr.nam
