KUWAIT, May 15 (KUNA) -- Comorian Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulkarim Mohammad extolled his country's "firm and close" ties with Kuwait on Sunday, saying relations between both nations continue to flourish.
In a speech to mark the opening of the Comorian embassy in Kuwait, Mohammad said that "the opening of the embassy is a testament to cooperation between both countries in a myriad of fields." Moreover, Mohammad also thanked Kuwait's foreign ministry's "exemplary efforts" of facilitating the opening of the embassy.
Meanwhile, in a statement to the press, Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah described ties between both nations as "historic and excellent," adding that he hopes the opening of the embassy would serve to bolster those ties.
Comorian diplomat and advisor at the embassy Abu Bakr Barhan noted that the countries have always been inextricably linked, adding that "both sides aspire to further develop their relations." (end) hrz.nam
