DOHA, May 7 (KUNA) -- Qatari Minister of State for Defence Affairs Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah Attiyah commended Saturday the efforts of the GCC Air Force and air defense commanders in strengthening cooperation, integration and coordination between the GCC forces.
In statements during his reception of the GCC Air Force commanders and air defence commanders, who held their 22nd meeting in Doha, Al-Attiyah noted that this cooperation is crucial for materializing GCC leaders' vision to develop the readiness of the joint defense in order to protect strategic interests to promote stability and security of the GCC countries.
He also praised the efforts made by Qatari Air Force for hosting this meeting, expressing hope that their efforts would be a success in order to achieve the desired goals.
The meeting was held over two days, where the commanders were briefed on the results of the working teams, and took the necessary decisions and recommendations that would enhance the capabilities of the GCC Air Force Joint Air Defense. (KUNA)
