Spain's tourist revenues top EUR 12 bln in Q1-'16

MADRID, May 5 (KUNA) -- The Spanish Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism said Thursday the revenues from the tourist sector hit EUR 12.25 billion in the first quarter of 2016.
The figure represents 7.4 percent increase from the corresponding period of last year, the ministry said in a statement.
The British tourists were the biggest source of tourist income accounting for 18.8 percent of the total figure, followed by the Germans, it added. (end) hnd.gb
