Some 860 IS terrorists killed by Turkish troops since Jan. -- Sources

ANKARA, April 25 (KUNA) -- Turkey has killed more than 860 terrorists of the so-called Islamic State (IS) in Syria since early January, a military source said Monday.
Anadolu agency said that artillery barrages and airstrikes were carried out within the international rules of law and were in response to IS' attacks on Turkey, the source said.
Since Jan. 9, Turkey has killed 370 terrorists by a total of 5,330 artillery fire and another 492 in 167 air raids, as well as destroying weapons dumps and headquarters buildings, the source added.
The so-called IS has carried out two suicide bombings in Istanbul that targeted tourists since the beginning of the year and has regularly fired rockets across the border, killing at least 16 in the province of Kilis, it said. (end).
