KUWAIT, April 18 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Oil Sector Spokesman Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled Al-Sabah has announced that Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) early production facility No. 120 resumed operation late Sunday.
In a press statement, Sheikh Talal said Monday that the early production facility No. 120 has resumed operation Sunday evening and work is in full swing to re-operate two KOC's oil crude collection centers.
As oil sector's laborers strike enters its second day, the resumption of work in these facilities shows KOC's ability to effectively handle crises and overcome challenges, he boasted.
Sheikh Talal added that the impressive success in executing the emergency plan leaves no doubt about the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation's international marketing sector's ability to fulfill its commitments towards world customers either from crude oil or oil byproducts.
He pointed out that the emergency operation has produced more than the amounts previously expected by the top management.
The KPC and its subsidiaries have succeeded in meeting the local market needs of fuel, petroleum derivatives and liquefied gas as well as supplying the power and water desalination stations with their needs of gas, he unveiled. Sheikh Talah thanked all companies and laborers who are contributing to the success of the emergency plan to overcome the current.
