RIYADH, April 16 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah honored on Saturday young girl Sharifa Mohammed Al-Hagbani who has been given the title of "Ambassador of Anti-Cancer Campaigner" in recognition for her voluntary efforts and awareness in the fight against cancer.
The Ambassador expressed during a meeting with the girl and her father at the Kuwaiti embassy, his admiration for her "high" spirit that enabled her to achieve objectives to restore hope and to engage in normal life stemming from her faith, patience and positivity, especially during periods of treatment of cancer.
He said that Sharifa, infected with leukemia, was able to overcome the challenges by trusting in God and love of her family and everyone who stood with her.
He praised in this regard her book, titled (Despite Pain.. Hope Remains) in which she talked about her experience with cancer, expressing finest pictures of defiance and courage.
Sheikh Thamer extended an invitation to the young girl to visit her second home Kuwait to review her successful experience and make others take advantage of it.(end).
