Jordan, Saudi Arabia to boost military cooperation towards regional stability

AMMAN, April 11 (KUNA) -- Jordan and Saudi Arabia agreed Monday to strengthen military cooperation to contribute to regional security and stability, in addition to collaboration in mining for uranium and power generation via nuclear energy.
An official statement, issued after talks between Jordanian King Abdullah II and Saudi Deputy Crown Prince and Defense Minister Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz in Aqaba, said the two sides agreed to promote trade cooperation and increasing Jordanian exports to Saudi market.
They also agreed to boost joint development projects, investment and transport.
King Abdullah and Prince Mohammad underlined importance of political consultations regarding regional conflicts and the need of solving them politically.
They rejected Iran's interference in the affairs of the region, and its attempts to incite sectarian sedition and terrorism.
The two leaders warned Iran against this policy which fueled conflicts. (end) mjb.bs
