Lebanon detains network belongs to IS

BEIRUT, April 1 (KUNA) -- Lebanon's general security directorate has detained four Lebanese people and a Syrian man on charges of forming a network belonging to the so-called Islamic State (IS), the directorate said in a statement on Friday.
During investigations, the arrested admitted that they belong to IS, the statement added, noting that they seek to recruit some minors so as to carry out "terror acts" against the army and security apparatuses.
Lebanon has been witnessing over the last years a series of explosions, across the country, carried out by some bombers.
Last November, twin suicide bombings struck a southern Beirut suburb, killing 44 people and wounding about 239 others. (end) ayb.maa.hm
