Kuwait's Ambassador to Italy Sheikh Ali Khaled Al-Jaber Al-Sabah meets with Chairperson of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS)
ROME, March 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador to Italy Sheikh Ali Khaled Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met on Thursday with the Chairperson of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS), to discuss plans to bring CFS goals of development to fruition.
In a statement to KUNA, Kuwait's Embassy in Rome said that the meeting was called at the behest of Amira Gornass, the newly-appointed chair of CFS and Sudan's Ambassador to Rome, who wanted to unveil CFS's agenda.
Kuwait's Ambassador to Italy said that Kuwait is steadfast in its support of international efforts to provide a better living for the destitute as well as victims of conflicts and disasters, the statement noted.
Since its inception in 1974, CFS aims to be the most inclusive international and intergovernmental platform to ensure food and nutrition security for all. (end)
