US dollar stable against KD at 0.300

KUWAIT, March 9 (KUNA) -- The exchange rate of the US dollar against the Kuwaiti dinar stabilized at KD 0.300, while the euro went down to KD 0.329 compared to the exchange rates for Tuesday, said a statement by the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) Wednesday.
According to the CBK, the exchange rate of the sterling pound went up to KD 0.426 while the Swiss franc was stable at KD 0.301.
Exchange rate of the Japanese Yen firmed at KD 0.002.
The hike in the US dollar compared to the major currencies basket for the second consecutive day I due to a support to the US employment data, despite decline in forecasts of increase the US interest rates.
Meanwhile, the euro went down compared to the major currencies especially compared to the US dollar thanks to expectations of European Central Bank announcement tomorrow of expanding its stimulating policies to support the recovery of European recovery, besides combating risks of recession prices.
