JAKARTA, March 6 (KUNA) -- A preparatory ministerial meeting for the fifth extraordinary session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) kick-started in Jakarta on Sunday, focusing on Palestine and Jerusalem.
Kuwait is participating in the meeting with a delegation led by Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Mohammad Abduallah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.
Chaired by Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi, the meeting will be discussing the agenda of the summit called by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and due here tomorrow.
The meetings will be addressed by Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki, besides the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Ayad Madani.
Senior officials held earlier today a closed preparatory meeting headed by Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister for multilateral affairs hassan Kulaib, as well as Kuwaiti Deputy Assistant Forging Minister for International Organizations Ambassador Nasser Al-Hein.
They tackled potential draft resolutions and Jakarta draft declaration to be referred to the ministerial meeting. (end) rkf.lb
