Yemeni Pres. receives letter from Egyptian counterpart

RIYADH, March 1 (KUNA) -- Yemeni President Abd Rabu Mansour Hadi received, at his residence in the Saudi capital, a letter from Egypt's President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi, official media reported Tuesday.
The letter, which was delivered by Egyptian Ambassador to Yemen Dr. Youssef Al-Sharqawi, addressed the overall situations on Arab, regional and international arenas, in addition to bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to bolster them in various fields, according to Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Meanwhile, the Yemeni President and the Egyptian diplomat discussed during their meeting ways to improve Yemen's relief training and qualification in light of the current turmoil in the country due to recent uprisings and conflicts.
Hadi valued Cairo's positive and supportive role towards his country and its constitutional legitimacy, particularly the Egyptian participation, as part of the Arab coalition forces, in facing the Houthis and the forces loyal to ousted President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
For his part, Al-Sharqawi reiterated his country's supportive stand by Yemen and its legitimacy, describing the Egyptian-Yemeni current relations as "solid and strong". (end) od.ma
