Kuwait DM meets Singaporean, Latvian counterparts

MUNICH, Feb 13 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Deputy Premier and Defense Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah met separately with his Singaporean and Latvian counterparts Ng Eng Hen and Raymond Vejonis respectively in Munich, Germany, on Saturday.
Speaking to KUNA following the meetings, Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah said that his meeting with his Singaporean counterpart had focused on bilateral cooperation and anti-terrorism efforts.
He added that he had discussed with his Latvian counterpart the necessity of reinforcing cooperation among European countries in the fight against the so-called Islamic State (IS).
The Kuwaiti minister is currently in Munich to take part in the Munich Security Conference (MSC), which kicked off on Friday with the participation of over 30 leaders, and 70 foreign and defense ministers. (end) anj.mt
