ANKARA, Feb 13 (KUNA) -- The upcoming visit by the National Assembly Speaker of Kuwait Marzouq Al-Ghanim to Turkey on Sunday is an indication that the two countries were willing to further bolster bilateral ties, said Kuwaiti Ambassador to Turkey Abdullah Al-Thuwaikh.
Speaking to KUNA, Ambassador Al-Thuwaikh said that the visit, at an invitation from Turkish National Assembly Speaker Ismail Kahraman, will focus on developing parliamentary relations on all possible spheres.
He added that the heads of the two parliaments were eager to explore means to improve and revitalize some 40 previously-signed agreements and deals.
Coordinating efforts on regional and international issues as well as discussions on topics of mutual interest will also be highlighted during the visit, said the Ambassador.
The Ambassador indicated that some 219,000 Kuwaiti nationals have visited Turkey last year, noting that a considerable number of them own real-estate properties in Turkey.
Hopefully the two top legislators would focus on measures to further facilitate procedures for Kuwaitis eager to visit and invest in Turkey, said the diplomat. (end) rs.gta
