Spain discovers two new Zika virus cases, total rises to nine

MADRID, Feb 9 (KUNA) -- Spanish Health Ministry announced Tuesday two new persons infected with Zika virus, raising number of infectees in the country to nine, including a pregnant.
It said in a statement all patients came to Spain from Zika-infected countries in Latin America, where they got infected with the virus.
The ministry, however, said there was no danger that the virus would spread in Spain.
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared early this month that Zika virus was a Public Health Emergency of International Concern, and projected 3-4 million people might be infected this year unless new drugs developed to cure it. (end) hnd.bs
