MANAMA, Feb 3 (KUNA) -- Amongst the high rise and modern buildings of Muharraq area stands the old Muharraq town with its classically fashioned houses that evokes the memories of a century-old Bahrain.
The town, restored and maintained by the Bahraini cultural authorities and the private sector, has a number structures and facilities that serves as a reminder of what Bahrain used to look like over 100 years ago.
A number of buildings also served as venues for cultural events and lectures as well as locations where exhibitions featuring old handcrafts and memorabilia take place.
The old Muharraq town serves as a reminder that no matter how much humans evolve on the outside, things of the past will always remain close to the heart. (end) mge.gta
