Israel lifts two-day long closure imposed on Ramallah

RAMALLAH, Feb 2 (KUNA) -- Israel lifted a two-day closure imposed Monday on the West Bank City of Ramallah.
The closure was restricting access to and from Ramallah and also halting the movement of Palestinians.
The Palestinian military liason office said in a statement on Tuesday that Israeli occupation authorities informed them about the end of the partial closure which was imposed after a Palestinian police officer from Ramallah shot and wounded three Israelis in the area.
The decision was taken late Monday by Major General Roni Numa, after an assessment by Israeli military's central command.
In addition, the Israeli army will also lift the closure on the Palestinian village of Beit Ur a-Tahta, on lockdown since last week, Israeli media said.(end).
