Soldier, policeman killed SE Turkey - army

ISTANBUL, Jan 31 (KUNA) -- A Turkish soldier and a policeman were killed Sunday during clashes with the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in Cizre district of Sirnak southeast the country.
According to army sources, the outlawed PKK militants launched an attack on army troops in Cizre, which initially caused severe injuries to the personnel.
The southeast region of the country is witnessing daily clashes between PKK militants and Turkish security forces since the breakdown of the cease-fire agreement last July. (end) ta.hb
