AMMAN, Jan 25 (KUNA) -- Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour has commended Kuwait's role in supporting development projects in the Kingdom.
In a statement following a meeting with Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) Abdulwahab Al-Bader on Monday, Ensour expressed his gratitude to the Kuwaiti leadership, government and people for their efforts and honorable stances supporting the region's countries.
Ensour also extolled the cooperation between Jordan and KFAED which provided USD 580 million for financing development projects in Amman and other projects to be in favor of Syrian refugees in the country, the statement said.
Earlier today, Al-Bader signed a deal in Amman worth USD 20 million to contribute to financing the Jordan Response Plan which presents a one-year program to consolidate all major national and international efforts to address the Syria crisis within the framework of a coordinated broad-spectrum response.
The agreement was signed by Al-Bader and the Jordanian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Emad Fakhoury, in the presence of Kuwait's Ambassador to Amman Dr. Hamad Al-Duaij and several Jordanian government officials. (Pickup previous) mjb.hm
