Chairman of Kuwaiti Disabled Sports Club (KDSC) Shafi Al-Hajri
KUWAIT, Jan 25 (KUNA) -- The distinguish sponsorship offered by the Public Authority for Sports (PAS) to Kuwaiti Disabled Sports Club's (KDSC) athletes highly contributed to the exceptional performance of (KDSC) players.
Chairman of (KDSC) Shafi Al-Hajri, said in a press release Monday that this continuous support by the Authority, headed by its Director General Sheikh Ahmad Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah helped to improve the players' performance to qualify them for the Paralympic Games for the disabled due in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil later this year.
Al-Hajri added that the (KDSC) organized a number of collective and individual sports championships to improve the skills of the players, which they will start next Saturday including wheelchair volleyball, wheelchair basketball, and swimming.
He pointed out that (KDSC) is keen on organizing these contests to coincide with Kuwait's national celebrations.
He also expressed his gratitude to the (KDSC) for their fruitful efforts in preparing to launch these tournaments. (end)
