NINGXIA, China, Jan 11 (KUNA) -- Distinguished female high school students on Monday visited Yinchuan Mingcui Lake Country Marsh Park, the third largest in China and the largest in its eastern regions.
The youngsters were dazzled by the wide-ranging wildlife, including 97 different animals and over 10,000 bird species during their trip to the Chinese autonomous region of Ningxia, organized by Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.
Due to the extremely cold winter, Mingcui Lake transforms into ice. And the people of Ningxia's capital, Yinchuan, are welcomed to take to the ice, much to the delight of the Kuwaiti visitors, who joined in.
The young girls were also taken to a shopping mall and a market, where they got a close hand of the region's colorful traditional dress.
The visit is part of an initiative organized by KFAED aimed at highlighting the philanthropic work it has done for so many parts of the world. (pickup previous) naa.sd
