Kuwaiti delegation lauds Katara for achieving human interaction

DOHA, Dec 2 (KUNA) -- A visiting Kuwaiti media delegation lauded Cultural Village Foundation, known as Katara, in achieving human interaction through art and cultural exchange through many cultural projects.
Head of the delegation, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Al-Anba newspaper, Adnan Khalifa Al-Rashid said told KUNA, on Wednesday, that Katara has become a niche for local and Arab cultures and a crossroad of international arts.
Director of Sama magazine Zahra Dehdari pointed out that Katara is a great supporter of tourism in Qatar because it hosts many cultural and sporting events.
Sama Editor-in-Chief Dalal Salem Al-Marzouq, meanwhile, said that Katara is considered a touristic and unique landmark in the Gulf region.
Counselor at the Kuwaiti embassy in Qatar Nasser Sager Al-Ghanim also highlighted the important role played by Katara to bring different cultures together on a common ground.
Director of Katara was thrilled to receive the Kuwaiti delegation.
The Kuwaiti delegation is visiting Qatar to participate in the Third Business Women Forum.
Katara Cultural Village is the largest and the most multidimensional cultural project of Qatar.
It serves as a guardian to the heritage and traditions of Qatar and endeavors to spread awareness about the importance of every culture and civilization and as such, Katara hosts international, regional and local festivals, workshops, performances and exhibitions. (end) nnd.nfm
