KOTC fleet carries 22 mln MT of crude around the globe - Al-Saqer

LONDON, Nov 28 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC) fleet has transported up to 22 million metric tons (MT) of crude, petroleum products and liquefied gas around the world with high efficiency since the start of the FY 2015-2016, a senior official has said.
The KOTC tankers enjoy high confidence of giant firms of the world's oil industry, such as British BP, Shell, Total, Exxon Mobil and Chevron, KOTC Fleet Marine Operations Manager Youssef Al-Saqer, also company spokesman, told KUNA on Saturday.
Al-Saqer noted that the KOTC is keen on applying the world's conditions and criteria in line with the maritime transport laws.
In addition, the KOTC tankers are provided with the latest equipment for the protection of the environment and efficient consumption of fuel.
The KOTC is the strategic transport arm of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and the State of Kuwait, Al-Saqer said. (end) kd.msa
