Major anti-terrorism operation in Brussels

BRUSSELS, Nov 23 (KUNA) -- Major police operations are underway in central Brussels Sunday night, local media reported, and a helicopter was also hovering above one of the sites where the operations are ongoing.
People were asked to get inside in some hotels near the famous tourist site, Grand Place.
Police were also appealing people to move away from the windows but they are not giving details to the media about the operations.
Police are also carrying out operations in the region of Charleroi, 50 kms from Brussels.
Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel has described the situation as "extremely serious." (end) nk.bs
