BERLIN, Oct 9 (KUNA) -- A Kuwaiti Parliament friendship group has met with Political Director of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia Paul Teesalu, on Friday, where they discussed bilateral ties.
Head of the group Saud Al-Heraiji told KUNA that the meeting tackled signing an agreement between Kuwait and Estonia on investment protection and dual taxation exemption.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of promoting trade, development and health cooperation between the two countries.
Al-Heraiji pointed out that regional and international developments were discussed as well as the situation in Syria.
He called on the European Union to play a part in solving dispute in the Middle East region, especially that of Syria.
On his part, Teesalu said that a ministerial meeting of the European Union will be held next week. In that meeting, the Russian interference in Syrian will be discussed.
He added that Estonia is closely observing the situation in the Middle East and will participate with its European partners to find peaceful solution for the Syrian crisis. (end) The Kuwaiti delegation includes MPs Mahmoud Al-Hamdan, Ahamd Mutae and Hamdan Al-Azmi. (end) anj.nfm
