Board Chairman of Kuwait Boxing Federation Sheikh Fahad Jaber A-Ali Al-Sabah during The 9th GCC Boxing Organization Committee meeting
KUWAIT, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- The 9th GCC Boxing Organization Committee meeting was held here to discuss improving this sport at all levels, Board Chairman of Kuwait Boxing Federation Sheikh Fahad Jaber A-Ali Al-Sabah announced Friday.
He told KUNA that the meeting discussed the joining of Bahrain to the Committee and the participation of Bahraini boxers in various GCC competitions.
The meeting also tackled Kuwait's apology for not hosting any future boxing games. In addition, it shed light on Qatar's hosting to AIBA World Boxing Championship next month; a boxing event for world's top 260 boxers, who will compete for the ultimate boxing glory - the title of "World Champion."
Sheikh Fahad lauded all efforts that have been made by the Committee for holding many sporting events to develop this game in the region. (end)
