11 airstrikes in Iraq, one in Syria target ISIL - coalition

WASHINGTON, Aug 31 (KUNA) -- Coalition military forces continued to attack the group known as ISIL, conducting 11 airstrikes in Iraq and one in Syria, the Combined Joint Task Force announced on Monday.
In Syria near Al Hawl, one airstrike destroyed an ISIL excavator, the statement said.
In Iraq near Al Baghdadi, one airstrike destroyed an ISIL homemade explosives cache and an ISIL resupply boat, it said.
Near Bayji, one airstrike struck an ISIL large tactical unit and destroyed three ISIL vehicles and an ISIL barge, it said.
Near Kisik, one airstrike struck an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed two ISIL improvised explosive devices and an ISIL vehicle, it said.
Near Ramadi, one airstrike destroyed an ISIL mortar system, it said.
Near Sinjar, two airstrikes struck two ISIL tactical units and destroyed two ISIL fighting positions, an ISIL heavy machine gun, an ISIL light machine gun and an ISIL vehicle, the statement said.
Near Sultan Abdallah, two airstrikes struck an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed two ISIL fighting positions, two ISIL heavy machine guns and an ISIL excavator, it said.
Near Tal Afar, one airstrike struck an ISIL heavy machine-gun firing position, it said.
Near Tuz, two airstrikes struck an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed an ISIL vehicle, it said. (end) rm.sd
