WASHINGTON, Aug. 28 (KUNA) -- Vice President Joe Biden spoke by phone on Thursday with His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said of Oman, the Office of the Vice President announced on Friday.
Biden thanked the Sultan "for his continued leadership in trying to defuse regional tensions and end the bloodshed in Yemen," the announcement said.
Both "reiterated their commitment to pursuing a negotiated political solution to the conflict," it said. (end)
