US oil rises beyond USD 47 pb

NEW YORK, Aug 28 (KUNA) -- US oil rose today beyond USD 47, after registering the past week low prices since the global economic crisis of 2009.
According to New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), the Brent Crude oil future quotes increased by USD 4.42 of which it was displayed as high as USD 47.56 a barrel, in comparison to its closing settlement of USD 43.14.
As for the Crude oil futures, it kicked off at USD 42.62 to register its highest at USD 42.74.
The slowdown the past week was due to the Chinese economy that had a negative impact on the global market, especially the oil prices where it have been under pressure lately for oversupply concerns. (end) mao.ibi
