Arab League condemns Turkish bombardment of northern Iraq

CAIRO, Aug 4 (KUNA) -- The Arab League (AL) condemned on Tuesday, the Turkish bombardment of northern Iraq, urging Turkey to respect Iraq's sovereignty.
In a press statement, the League's Secretary-General Nabil Al Araby called on Istanbul and Baghdad to increase cooperation in order to preserve peace in both countries.
Moreover, the statement underscored that the AL condemns all terrorist activities that threaten the stability of the region, urging continued collaboration in order to defeat terrorism and restore peace and security in the region. (end) asm.nam
