Two attacks kill three Turkish soldiers

ANKARA, Aug 2 (KUNA) -- Two separate attacks blamed on Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), killed three Turkish soldiers and injured 28 others, news reports said on Sunday.
According to Anadolu News Agency (ANA), a tractor laden with around two tons of explosives hit Karabulak station in Agri province east of the country early on Sunday, which claimed the lives of two soldiers and injured scores of others.
Moreover, the station building was severely damaged in the attack and the wounded soldiers were rushed to a medical facility for treatment.
Elsewhere on Sunday, a Turkish soldier was killed and four others injured when a landmine struck their patrol around the Kirkuk-Yumurtalik oil pipeline in the country's southeastern province of Mardin.
Turkey has witnessed a wave of violence after the July 20 massacre in the town of Suruc, where a suicide bomber killed 32 people.
Turkish security forces have rounded up more than 1300 people accused of links to The Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the PKK.
Turkish warplanes have intensified its attacks on PKK hideouts in Turkey and northern Iraq. (end) rs.nam
