Qatar continues to aid Yemeni people

DOHA, Aug 2 (KUNA) -- Qatar announced the continuation of aiding the Yemeni people through an airlift to Aden international airport.
The aid is provided upon the directions of Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Qatar News Agency (QNA) said, adding that the first plane loaded with aid arrived in the airport Saturday.
On arrival, a number of the Yemeni government officials were at the airport to facilitate the transfer of aid to Yemenis, QNA noted.
The aid included medical supplies and food materials.
The Standing Committee of Emergency, Rescue, Relief and Humanitarian Aid, headed by Lekhwiya, undertook the task of preparing the relief materials and coordinating with the concerned authorities. (end) nnd.hm
