KUWAIT, July 28 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Gulf Oil Company (KGOC) said it formed a commission to investigate leak of correspondence between oil ministers of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, underlining relations with the Saudi side based on solid political, economic and social foundations.
KGOC CEO Ali Al-Shammari Tuesday expressed dismay after local newspapers and social media sites reported correspondence between Kuwait and Saudi oil ministers, "which are totally classified by all parties concerned." He said the Ministry of Oil and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) were committed to keeping the correspondence classified in line with procedures followed in such cases.
Therefore, affirmed Al-Shammari, a commission was formed to investigate the leak and to take all measures against those behind it, as well as making sure such incidents would not happen again.
He said KGOC and its Saudi partners were keen on developing the operations fields in Khafji and Wafra, and the two sides share the common desire to keep the exchange of information and documents classified. (end) bs
