Three bomb blasts kill nine Iraqi soldiers

BAGHDAD, July 28 (KUNA) -- Nine soldiers were killed Tuesday when three suicide bomb attacks targeted an army post in Baiji city, north of the capital Baghdad.
An army source told KUNA that three explosives-laden vehicles, driven by Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) fighters detonated at an army position, killing nine soldiers and wounding 21 others. The injured soldiers were rushed to a medical facility for treatment.
Baiji, an ISIL stronghold, has seen a recent surge in violence as the army attempts to liberate the city from ISIL control. (end) ahh.nam
